Look
at all the places in your life where you have relationships:
Spouse/partner Family
Friends Neighbors Colleagues
Boss Rivals Customers Subordinates Suppliers
Mailperson Grocery Clerk Doctor Bank Manager Mechanic
In-Laws Step-family Grandparents/grandchildren
Priest/Guru/Spiritual Leader Students Teachers Coaches
Children's Friends' Parents... It goes on and on!
Even if you're a hermit, you're having a relationship
with yourself... it's unavoidable.
So are you having
good relationships?
Do you know what makes a good relationship? Does anyone?
There are some "standard" criteria for what makes
a good relationship, however, much of the day to day stuff is subjective,
and changes regularly.
Consider this - the better your relationship with yourself,
the more positively you will define a good relationship.
People with low self-image tend to settle for relationships
that they would not necessarily even consider if they felt better about
themselves or their situation.
These are all places where you have opportunities to create
healthy, supportive, mutually accountable environments that better both
your lives. What are you doing about that?
